Radio Australia (ABC Local Radio) on 12065 khz on New Year's Eve

Radio Australia via Shepparton transmitter was coming today very strong on 12065 khz at around 1235 UTC.

Very good signal strength and slight fading observed. SINPO: 44434

Radio Mi Amigo International special test broadcast via Trincomalee on 11730 khz shortwave

Radio Mi Amigo International's special test transmission to Asia and Australia via Trincomalee was received well in India on 11730 khz shortwave.

 SINPO was 34333 At 1002 UTC slight fading and atmospheric noise observed and reception improved after 1020 UTC and  SINPO improved to 44334 .


 A brief history of Radio Mi Amigo and Offshore radios with frequent music from 60s was observed. Reception report was emailed on the same day.

DRM test service of Radio Taiwan International on 6185 khz

RTI's DRM test transmission towards India was logged on 6185 khz  at1706 UTC. Weak signal was observed here in Kolkata. Only data no audio was heard.

Radio Mediterranee International (Radio Medi 1) on 171 khz long wave report verified in less than 24 hours

Full data eQSL received from Radio Mediterranee International in less than 24 hours.

A Reception report was sent on 2nd December 2016 and after a few hours Abdellah El atmani verified my report with full data eQSL. Reception report was sent to a.elatmani@medi1.com

Radio Mediterranée Internationale (Radio Médi 1) from Nador, Morocco on 171 khz long wave received in Kolkata

Radio Mediterranee International was received in Kolkata on 171 khz.
News and current affair programs in Arabic was heard from 2158 UTC onward and followed by English songs.

Due to excellent ground-wave propagation condition the station was received with fair signal in Kolkata
The distance between Kolkata and Nador is over 8500 km.

Radio Spaceshuttle International from Finland via Kostinbrod, Bulgaria

Radio Spaceshuttle broadcast was received on 13600 khz via Kostinbrod, Bulgaria on 30th August 2015.

Frequent station Id with jingles, Finish and English songs were noted from 1910 to 1930 UTC.

Reception report was sent via email and snail mail with IRCs on the following day.

After several reminders to Dick (Spaceshuttle radio host) a  QSL confirmation came to my mail box on 26th October 2016 which was posted from Spain. It took more than a year to get response from him.

Madagascar World Voice (MWV) from Madagascar

Madagascar World Voice was received on 29July 2016. broadcast started with the same interval of station (KNLS)

Religious program with nice pop music on 9665 khz at 0110 UTC was observed with fair signal strength, moderate noise and fading.

SINPO was 34233.

Reception Report was emailed on the following day. A full data QSL verification was received on 7th September 2016

Madagascar World Voice from Madagascar on 9570 khz

Madagascar World Voice was received on 27th March 2016.  Programing in Russian on 9570 khz towards East Russia observed at 1800 UTC.

Good reception in India with slight atmospheric noise.
SINPO was 44344.


 

AIR Kolkata B DRM received at midnight on 1018 khz

AIR Kolkata B Tests DRM on 1018 khz. Reception was steady and strong without external antenna.

Beibu Bay Radio on 5050 khz transmitting from Southern Chinese city Nanning, Guangxi

Beibu Bay Radio was logged on 24th January 2016 on 5050 khz. from Henry's Island, Bakkhali, West Bengal.

Broadcast in Vietnamese was heard from 1020 to 1030 UTC.  Station ID heard at 1029 UTC in Vietnamese. Very good signal was observed. SINPO was 44434.

VMW Wiluna, Australia on 8113 KHz

VMW Wiluna the Australian Meteorological station in Wiluna, Western Australia, was logged on 24 th January 2016. Station was received strong at Henry's Island , Bakkhali, West Bengal.
 
A male voice in English was providing meteorological forecast related to wind, barometric pressure, etc.
